It was what I was told.

So basically when a black player does something newsworthy in the NBA, it's not going to be blown up by the media because blacks have done great things many times in the NBA.
I don't really appreciate your paraphasing my comments in what is basically a personal attack to include RACE into my comments regarding attention paid to Lin vs. a black player. It's dishonest and that's why you are taking a swipe at me here instead of bumping the thread.

P.S. It's Deron Williams, which I had to point out to you in that thread too.

Well I feel that Deron Williams doesn't get the respect he deserves in the media.

The media is too busy riding Blake Griffin's dunking.

100% agree. Playing for NJ sure doesn't help either.
Then you also have just so many beastly PG's out there that steals his thunder a bit especially with 2 of them (CP3 and Rondo) being either traded or heavily mentioned in trade rumors.

All the trade rumors bubbling about is seriously hogging the NBA hype machine right now. Everyone and their brother has an article speculating about what Boston, Orlando, Lakers and so forth might do.

Deron Williams was widely considered the 2nd best point guard like 3-4 years ago, after Paul ( and he often out-dueled CP3 in head to head matchups). There's now a glut of stellar point guards in the league, so Williams( particularly playing on a bad team) has gotten lost somewhat in the shuffle.

Surprises tonight in the NBA

1. Lakers losing on the road to the Pistons

2. Orlando losing on the road to the 4-30 Bobcats

3. Pacers losing at home to a bad Hawks team

Results tonight that were not surprising

The Knicks losing to the Mavs in Dallas and Lin scoring under 20 pts

Um, how about Carmelo scoring 6pts vs. the Mavs. being by far the most surprising. Seriously, how can you call out Lin and not mention Carmelo?

Lin played OK which is about his skill level.

Because Melo has been in the NBA for 8 years, Lin has been in the NBA for 8 mins.
