Oh yeah. How sweet it is. I would love for this team to get a hold of Memphis this time around. I can guarantee you it would be a different outcome. This team could certainly crush any team in the West in a series right now. And barring any serious setbacks due to injury that's exactly what is likely to happen come playoff time.

Didn't see the Spurs game, but all their players on the team played at least 10 minutes....damn!
even more to that...... spurs scored 82 points off the bench. 82!

rockets look half way decent. i didnt get to watch more then about half of the 1st half (i hate west coast games) but the box looks good. im sure the lakers fans are also starting to see their team isnt all that much better with sessions, because they still have little to no bench. all of their starting 5 have nagging injuries but they cant afford to sit anyone. the lakers are going to be toast and may not make it out of the 1st round regardless of seeding if they cant find a way to get healthy and rested in the next 20 days.

Meanwhile the Mavs blow a dozen-point halftime lead and lose on a LaMarcus Aldridge jumper at the buzzer in overtime. I'm hoping the Mavs jump a spot so at least they won't have to play the Lakers in the first round.

I think it's silly for Spurs fans to get excited about a number 1 seed after what happened last year in the 1st round of the playoffs.

If you think back to through this season especially in the first half, the home team is winning more than they are losing. That's where a lot of those "funny" and "weird" loses came in when the "elite" would lose to "scrubs".

The bottom line is homecourt is more important this year than previous years. It allows rookies to feel more comfortable, and allows coaches to maneuver a bit more as the 1-seed.

The second thing is if we have it, that means someone else doesn't (hint:OKC) so even if we don't take advantage of it, it would be MORE helpful if they don't have it.

The third thing is, and probably the most obvious, is game 7....obviously anytime there is a game 7, you want your team to have homecooking over room service

Having said that, I have been looking at the remaining schedules and Spurs have much tougher time than OKC, we have more games overall and more games against current playoff and fringe playoff teams. Couple that with the fact that seeding is not more important to Pop than health (which we agree with) and I expect the Spurs to finish with the 2nd seed, not the first.

I would be okay with the Spurs winning the next 6 Championships as long the Lakers, Heat, Bulls, Thunder, and Mavericks do not win it but it will not happen since most of the players are nearing the end of their careers
