The Lakers are obviously a lot tougher thean early in the year too.

I personally rank:

1-4 Heat, Bulls, Thunder, Spurs (tied)
5 Lakers
6 Mavs.
I can't sign off on the mavs being the 6th best team in the league. I would put the clippers and Orlando over them, with the new Knicks creeping up and boston there too.

I said it earlier the knicks will not do anything until they drop porn stache and learn some defense. Seems they are learning defense from their new coach.

Yeah you could just delete 6th and create a >5th category and throw 4-5 teams in there without splitting hairs.

I still think Dallas is dangerous but not consistent enough to go very far.
I could see them upsetting someone especially if they have a hot night or two from the arc.

wow no clippers on the list at all? even philly and indy over the clippers? no boston either? or orlando?

my list as of today seeing how the teams are playing right now

1 SA
2 bulls
3 okc
4 miami
5 clippers
6 lakers
7 boston
8 nyc
9 orlando
10 dallas

the bottom rung could be mixed up with a couple of other teams and themselves.

I agree with this ranking, for the most part. I think the Spurs will be last year's Mavs and show up everyone who thinks they're too old. Of course the Bulls putting it all together wouldn't surprise me either...both teams have the deepest benches in their respective league.

There are just too many wildcards at this point for me to predict anything.

In a month when the conf finals are approaching and we have a clearer view of injuries then sure, just for now it's just too muddy and the major players are either resting, injured or frequently injured.

I did include the Celtics, but not sold on the Clippers without Billups. How could you add Orlando when Howard may not play because he hates his coach. How could you not add Memphis?

Clippers are playing better then Memphis easily. The griz are not as good as last year IMO with gay stagnating the offfense, gasol is injured, and no battier to shore up the defense and glue the team. Plus Zbo isn't right after his surgery.

On Orlando, 1st my post was before the Howard saying he will not play if SVG is coaching in the playoffs. 2nd I don't believe that for a second. He will play, I think it's Bacon Sandwhich if you get that.
