For this year, I'd say the top 10 teams are:

1) Heat
2) Bulls
3) Dallas
4) Thunder
5) Celtics
6) Knicks
7) Magic
8) Clippers
9) Hawks
10) Lakers

I'm not even sure about the Lakers at this point. They did nothing to improve and may only be a 50-50 team this year. Denver or Spurs deserve the 10 spot more, but I can't count Kobe out.

I think you have the celtics, Knicks, hawks all to high. I think the spurs should be top 5-7 considering they really didn't lose much this off season and won 61 games last year. If not for late injuries (Manu with a broken arm, td with bad ankle) who knows what would have been.

Knicks should be higher. Once they settle in they'll have Baron Davis, Amare, Carmelo, and Tyson Chandler as 4 of their starters with alot of extras signing on daily. They could be one of the top eastern conference teams.

They might be ok, but a preseason ranking of #6 is plenty high.

Celtics aren't top 5 at this stage.

I think you could make a case for the Bulls over the heat. The Bulls are pretty young and most of their players are still on the ascent. They have 5 solid bigs, which I think will help a lot. Either Noah or Asik could start for them at c, and either Boozer or Gibson could start at PF, that's how deep they are up front. With a compressed schedule, depth becomes more important and that is Miami's weakness. The Heat big 3 will be vulnerable to injury due to the short camp and so many back-to-backs. Tough to argue against Wade/Bosh/James, especially now that they have been together for a year. But I figured that they'd be dream-team-dominant last year and they weren't.

I think putting them above the Celtics would have been better. They're an aging team that is starting to show it. I think an injury plagued year is definitely a strong possibility.

Porn-stache? If we go by mustaches, then Phil Jackson never would have won anything. The pedophile-stache doesn't go well on anyone.
