I'm a little shocked over the fact that I hear *nothing* about Kevin Love being a potential trade item etc. as he hasn't even been offered a contract extension and is in his 4th year now.

Now yes, he's been under the radar because of the big Chris Paul trade and of course the Dwight Howard stuff but Love is a legitimate beast at age 23 and has shown the ability to work and improve.

I know I'd love to see him in a Bulls uniform to give them another strong scoring option.

Oh man, that would be amazing if he did come to the bulls. Especially seeing how Noah seems to be regressing at the moment.

Love has been dogged on since coming out of College for one thing or another and every plateau he has reached has been met with the criticism that he won't get better and most recently that he's only able to do so well because he's on a bad team.

Frankly, I think he is quite reasonably as big of a potential trade\acquisition as Chris Paul.

He can come to the Spurs. Since he has beaten them, he can definitely join them.

Yeah....but the guy is averaging 26-15. He is the only player in the NBA in the top 5 of rebounding and scoring.

I know it's easy to forget MN but he is at least a top 15 player in the league....I'd put him top 10....so I would think that and the fact that he is unsigned to an extension would create A LOT of buzz about the guy.

I mean, think of the Chris Paul, Carmelo, Amare etc. buzz and frankly he is IMO in that league of player.

Love is the most underrated player in the NBA today. If the Lakers don't get Howard, I can see them trying to get Love.

Love said he won't make a decision yet though the Wolves are about to offer him the max. He is definitely underrated..just needs to work on his D though. Deadline is Jan. 25th for the contract extension offer.

They will sign him. Have you all forgot the blockbuster, record-setting deal Garnett got back in the day? He was the first to get $200M and that was the same team.

Glen Taylor will sign him, I know. They just need to see more of what they saw today - a team gelling with Rubio and Williams actually producing. I still think this team can be a sleeper this year.

EDIT: just saw JL post. Well, wouldn't that be a stinker if he turned out to be just as arrogant as Garnett was? That would truly show no class on his behalf.

Perhaps. Lakers have scoring, they really need more depth IMO...especially after losing Odom.

They'd need some sort of *gift* to get him and not lose a significant player like Gasol....not even sure what their cap situation looks like.
