I have watched a few games and went to the home opener on Friday and it seems this may be a decent team. Not saying they are going to win anything but think they are finally turning the corner. Is it wrong to actually be excited about this team?

Not at all. This is what separates you from fair weather fans.

Unless they move back to Syracuse, then yeah probably.

Theres nothing wrong with rooting for your team, and the Sixers look tough this year. Good team all around. They play good defense. Lots of good guards in Iguadola, Louis Williams, Holliday, and Evan Turner. Pretty good bigs too. Haven't the Sixers already played decently in their recent playoff apperences? I seem to remember them losing a couple 1st round series', but playing well, just having to play one of the top tier teams.

Hey I'm looking forward to seeing them on Saturday 1/28 in Philadelphia and Friday 3/30 in Washington! (I'm passing on this Saturday's game in DC against the Wizards because of the NFL playoffs.)

I don't follow the NBA too closely (in terms of watching the games) but I have been following the 76ers' good start through the media and it is very encouraging. It appears the 76ers, as a former Sixers coach would say, are playing "the right way".

This team might be a little like the 1989-1990 76ers, who overachieved by finishing 53-29 and winning the Atlantic Division. (Unfortunately, despite the fact that team had Charles Barkley, it just didn't have the depth of talent to compete with the top teams in the NBA. This 76ers team might be similar but I'd like to be proven wrong.)

Apparently so because the Sixers, despite getting off to their best start in 6 or 7 years, are 29th in attendance. I wonder how long it will be until people start noticing them, if at all.

Their attendance is poor. I have made two games this year and think they are gaining momentum but their attendence is horrid. I am just excited to actually have a NBA team that is pretty good and fun to watch. Has been a long time around here

Good test for the Sixers tonight. I strangely find myself interested in this game.

How expensive are the tix?

I'm surprised there's still anyone left in the city with their 5% wage tax and all.
