ok so 1st things 1st, i have not spent much time looking at the teams as they where being picked, time is money baby!
2nd, i know for my team the OP did not put my team in the starting order i would have liked BUT its a team, it can be shuffled around as the coach sees fit and i think the starters vs bench is somewhat of a moot point really. considering MOST of our picks either can, do or should start on nba teams today IMO the starting lineups isnt a fact. as my spurs have shown over the years, its not who STARTS the game but who FINISHES the game.
all that said.......

team A:
this team has a lot of youth, SOME defense but mostly run and gun offense style play. this team looks to be built for the future and not for a win or go home now style season (that was my understanding of the draft) with some years, so hard fought losses, and some defense this squad is scary but out of the gate right now not so much.

team B:
this team IMO is the best defensive squad on the board. there isnt a HUGE amount of scoring pop, just enough to get over the hump but with the defense and rebounding that is represented i dont see a single team scoring more then 85-90 per game if that on this squad. some "where does he fit" spots but once again, a coach can rotate players as he sees fit and per any situation. lockdown guys at every position to be rotated in, and not a bunch of guys fighting over the ball. all around a well built squad if i do say so myself.

team C:
i kinda agree with maths assessment on this one, the guard positions are stacked, maybe to the SF spot depending on how things roll/play out. the interior is a little weak and the over all defense is sketchy imo. guys like okafor and bogut have their defensive moments but they are not consistent enough IMO to be "lock down" at their position, couple that with amares allergy to defense, and his anemic rebounding for his skill/size and your interior is a disaster waiting to happen.

team D:
a balanced team for the most part. i kinda see a bit of a defensive hole that could open up on the wing. i think there is a "hope" that bynum/perkins could cover the lack of defense from bosh, and cover duncans "old age" (yeah he is my boy but then he isnt 28 yrs old anymore). the interior defense could and should be fine but durant isnt a great defender, allen is in the same shoes as duncan, he can hit the outside shot but i think he has lost a step on defense, throwing harden and thabo in SHOULD help with that for the most part but you lose a ton of scoring pop by putting them in and taking durant and ray out. the ball should move ok, and everyone knows their roll. solid squad for the bulk of it.

team E:
im not really sold on this squad to be honest. outside dirk/kobe the scoring is very low, the rebounding is low, outside of nash, the assists are low (and IMO he is on a good decline this year and will not be able to hold up with the crazy schedule) the defense just isnt balanced to me. even with subs in and out i just dont see a strong defensive presence all over. KG was a great defender, like duncan he is in huge decline and i dont see him lasting a season with a crazy schedule. all in all, it has name value but i dont see chemistry or defense. i think the coach was not a good choice for this squad, pop deals well with egos but kobe and maybe even dirk are not going to let him yell at them like duncan, manu and tony. he doesnt have the defense he loves and i dont think he would utilize the dirk/kobe combo well. can you see kobe/dirk trying to screen roll like duncan and manu? they would run into each other when they both try to pull up and shoot from 18'. pop would go ballistic!

and team F:
ok thats not your grade just your spot on the list! HA
this squad has scoring balance, some defensive balance, and what should be chemistry. i dont like the PG/SG spots on defense but the wing scoring is tight. they also have superman to cover the interior when their man gets by them. westbrook is the closest thing to a defender, but he has defensive bigs and wings to fall back on at okc. from the looks of it, deng is the only wing defender out there, take him out and the 1/2/3 spots are wide open for outside shots where howard/nene/asik are not about to go, and while aldridge is a decent defender, he isnt great. in his defense, he is a decent weak side defender, again not great but serviceable, especially with a defensive big to cover his weakness. (just like he has had with camby).

in the end since i cant take my team, and im sure most have an idea which mine is, im going with team
.................................................. .................................................. ................................... D .................................................. .................................................. ................

mostly for the balance, partially because the coach is a guy who can blend the parts almost as well as anyone out there.

Team A-A lot of young players, and this would be a team that could rack up the points for sure. Defense would be a problem though, and there isn't as much total experience as other teams. However, with the youth of the team, I actually think team A would have the most upside. Also, I think those players would fit well in a Nate McMillan system.

Team B-When I look at this team, I see LeBron and Kevin Love as the only stars. So from that standpoint, this team would be the weakest. I think it also is the weakest offensive team. The defense is the best out of all the teams though, and with Mike Brown as the coach, those players fit good in that system.

Team C-Another good offensive squad, defense is somewhat average though. Imo, the best starting 2 for guards. Bench looks good, although I think the wing play would struggle compared to other teams. Once again I think the coach pick was the right decision.

Team D-This is the best team. It has offense, defense, and the bench really goes well with the starters. Rick Adleman is a underrated coach. Looking at this team, I really don't see any flaws.

Team E-Best offensive team, but some players who struggle with defense. This team has the most "names" on it. Some of the players are streaky. Some of the most clutch players in the game are on this team though. Best duo imo in Kobe and Dirk. Weak in the big man department, but stacked at the guard positions. Most experienced, but also the oldest team. Gregg Popovich is one of the greatest coaches of all time, so he could make it work with this squad.

Team F-This team has the best bigs, best rebounders, but maybe the weakest defense overall. I say that about the defense because of the guard positions, although the bigs are some of the best defenders in the game. Again, right pick for the coach.

My break down:

A - I think this is the weakest team of the draft, by a lot. After CP3, it's a total nose dive. Blake is ok, but the bench is awful compared to other teams, and the bigs are total garbage.

B- I like this team, good balance with some veterans to even things out. Defensive and offensive minded players create a good balance. A little weak in the bench guards, and starting center though.

C- Not a huge fan of this team, really. I think the bench is well drafted, but I hate the guard pairing of Wade and Rose, and A'Mare and Pierce are flawed players when evaluated in this format.

D- Starters are well thought out, and a balanced squad. I think this is the best starting 5 of the group. I wouldn't at all say the bench is weak, but I just don't think some of those guys give you that much. Looking in Thabo and Marions direction...and I've watched ALOT of minutes those guys have played. There are other veterans or defensive specialists that could give more.

E - Front line is offensive heavy, with the end of the bench being pretty good defensively. I think this team is pretty good, but it has Kobe starting. So that takes away from Dirks productivity. Nash is a total defensive liability and in this kind of draft, will get smoked on the other end of the floor. Talented but flawed team.

F - Well balanced teams with specialists in each area. I'm a little surprised it's not getting more love.

Thats my breakdown, and I STILL don't know who to vote for....hmmmm...

I probably spent 5minutes deciding between D and F. They are so close that either is a good choice.

Just because a player plays in a small market or for a non-playoff team doesn't mean that player is awful/total garbage.

All my players are the MVP of their team except for Kidd, Odom and Dalembert.

your right, playing on a weak team and/or a small market team doesnt make a player garbage, just so happens that in the grand scheme of this draft, milsap, and cousins are not great, dalembert is playing well but has never lived up to his size/potential. with the exception of wall, and MAYBE t-evans i dont see a single "team mvp" on the bench. hell with exception of wall, cp3, and MAYBE melo (that could be debatable) i dont see any "mvp" of any teams. eric gordan COULD be in that mix IF he ever got off the injured list and played in a couple games.

Okay Griffin, Millsap and Cousins are the 2nd MVP of their team but Hibbert and Josh Smith are THE MVP of their team for sure this season.
