I think with that one, the voters must have said 'ok guys, Michael freaking Jordan never won 3 MVPs in a row. Let's not start a riot now!'

Well, it sure was close. There are something like 110-120ish voters and if you total up all the points it looks like each voters pts are worth something like 10pts for 1st place vote and down from there. Probably a 10-7-3 type thing.

Nash didn't lose by much to Dirk, maybe 10 guys picking him first and Dirk second would have been enough.

I imagine that a number of OLDER writers and whatnot were nostalgic for the open run and gun style of the Dr J era and embraced the change the NBA was making and how Nash fit that style. The guys that longed for the NBA to return to 130-115 wins being normal instead of 85-77 slugfests.

It *had* to be something like that which both explains Nash's 2nd MVP and his nearly 3rd MVP as a number of writers clearly deviated from normal voting patterns. Thank god we are having this discussion here or I'd have to hear BS about racism which is the cause of everything in the politics forum.

Durant can have MVP, DA BULLS are winning another championship, too much depth even though we lost a heartbreaker to Pacers

I'm a 20+ year Bulls fan....we shall see. I'm not going to claim this year but I'd say sometime in the next 3-4 years is entirely possible.

Watching how much better Boozer is playing and continued development of their bench with guys like Asik and they are indeed scary.

Injuries are keeping this team from completely blowing out opponents, we still have yet to give up a 100 point game at home and D- Rose is on a mission. You see how the Bulls can do with out Rose, they fare pretty well in contrast to Miami who cannot win consistently without D wade. I'll go out on a limb and say this is their year cuz they learned from last season, but Miami has more pressure to win even though bulls lead league
