They will very likely be the 3-seed so they need to pray to god that the Heat lose their division to the hawks (injuries only way that's happening) and so the Hawks are the 2-seed, Bulls are 1 and Heat 4.

That way 76ers can actually get to the ECF with only the Hawks in their way.
I felt that Doug Collins was supposed to win coach of the last year and see no reason why he shouldn't win it this year.

The coach of the year winner last year was a complete joke. A coach who has a player who won the MVP should not win coach of the year.

The vast majority of the time the MVP award goes to the best player on the team with the best regular season record.

So essentially what you are saying is that the coach that ends up with the best record, shouldn't win coach of the year.

We covered this in my "Kevin Durant will probably win the MVP" thread.

No because we all know why the Bulls won 60 something games. It had nothing to do with the coach. Plus if a team has the most wins why reward that coach? It's too obvious and makes more sense to give it to a guy whose team made a big improvement from the previous year.

So you are telling me the Bulls had the best record in the league because of that goofy looking coach?

Good coaching is not always about the best record and Doug Collins has shown that last season and he is showing it now.

That's laughable. Go back and follow the Bulls last season game by game....and oh...don't forget to consider all the line-up changes from the previous year as well.

I guess in your mind that was Rose's rookie year too?

I'm going to enjoy bumping this thread as the 76ers embark upon their 2 week long beat-down.

I have a feeling they win tonight because they are being told that the Bulls are better

Well I guess you were right. I'm telling you guys, the Sixers are a good team. They aren't elite but they are right up there with Atlanta and Indiana.

The Bulls have one superstar and a bunch of good role players who play together. With a team like that, if you finish with the best record in the league, then the coach deserves a lot of credit IMO.

Speaking of credit, how about those 76ers whipping the Bulls tonight? Mind you it was in Philadelphia, but that was a very impressive win.
