Don't be ridiculous. We can go through just about every season since the beginning of the NBA, and find a game or two that the champion that year ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT have lost. This happens across all professional sports, at that level anyone can be beaten if you aren't bringing it that particular night. It is quite conceivable, when playing a team the level of the Wizards, that OKC had a mental letdown, and the Wizards played above themselves, which equated to an OKC loss and a Wizards win. To say that this knocks OKC out of the championship picture, is flippant.

Here's a bit of trivia for you: During the Chicago Bulls record-breaking 72 win season in 1996, which team did they lose to which had a 21-61 record? Board, let our resident Basketball maestro reply, please...

I didn't follow the Bulls because I was living in Connecticut back then. Also, this 2012 wizards team is the worst team I have seen in the past 20 years and they should be able to beat the wizards without Durant and Westbrook.

Do you use this logic for every head to head matchup? How does this work then, heat beat bulls, but lost twice to the bucks, who got blown out by the bulls. So using your logic, heat are better than the bulls, bucks ate better than the heat and the bulls are better than the bucks. See the problem?

Well then research it, you're on something called THE INTERNET. I don't see where your location has anything to do with your ability to follow a team. I don't even live in North America, doesn't seem to have impacted me.

Here, start here: Google Let's see your answer, so that you can see how ridiculous your position is.

I will admit there is a lot of inconsistency in the NBA this year and the Sixers look like the only consistent team so far because

"They beat all the bad teams and when they lose to the good teams they are always competitive until the 4th Qtr".

I was thinking Denver was the same after the beat the Clippers but then came home and lost to the Lakers.

Still awaiting an answer to my trivia question, TVSG..... what's your next excuse? You aren't to research it ONLINE because of your location?

Well I was in college at the time and there was no such thing as watching TV.

Here's the box

Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors Box Score, March 24, 1996 | Basketball-Reference.com

Christ I forgot about John Salley on the bulls. Apparently the raptors only played (or dressed) 7 guys lol.

WELL DONE TVSG. Now take the fact the greatest team record-wise in NBA history lost to a team with a 21-61 record, and figure out where I'm going with your statement that OKC losing to the Wizards equates to them not being a contender. The BEST team can lose to the WORST team on any given night in pro sports.
