Have you ever played against a professional, college or McDonald's All-American player?

I guarded a player from the University of Maryland around 2007 in a summer pickup game. I'm about 6'1 and he was 6'4. When he drove, he drove HARD. He dunked about 2 or 3 times just power-driving along the baseline and elevating.

I played in a pickup against Roger Mason, Jr. He also drives to the basket HARD.

And I played with some guys who were on Hampton University's team. They were pretty good.

I guarded Allen Leavell(ex-Houston Rockets pt guard) at a local pickup game about 10 yrs ago. He was retired and already in his mid 40s.. .... he still blew by me a few times..real quick guard.

I played basketball in phy-ed class against Don Jackson who on his own, won 2 Stanley Cup Trophies while carrying Wayne Gretzky around the ice back in the early 80's. As I recall, he didn't have a great shot but would use the boards very effectively behind the base-line.

I played some touch football with a guy that was on a BIG10 track scholarship that was a 110m hurdle specialist. I think he could run 100 in about 10.1 or so. One of our friends had gone to state in the 100 and could run maybe an 11 and that guy blew by our friend like he would blow by us.

Played with the starting center from Harvard a few years ago. Wasn't really that impressed, I can see why the ivy league focuses silly stuff, like academics

I've played 1 on 1 basketball, and beat (yes, I kid you not), my wife who was a starting east coast college center and whose father was a 6'8" Philadelphia high school center who was Wilt Chamberlin's biggest early 50's rival in urban Philly area. His daughter (my wife) is a quite impressive player for a girl. She can easily palm a basketball (which I am embarrased to say I can't do myself!).

When I was 15, played in a pickup game which had bulls guard Craig Hodges( he was still an active player). Also when I was 18 played in a pickup game against Joe Smith( he was at Maryland at the time), Tony Massenburg( nba journeyman), Manute Bol, and a few other guys from the Terrapins men's basketball team. Played against a few of the terrapins female players in another pickup game as well.

I played in my college with a 6-9 dude that was coming in from another college, it was a pickup 4 on 4 game. I never dared to go in since im only 5-6.

its amazing how skilled the nba players are, even the backup of the backup, the guy that never plays a second in the nba, barely getting a contract, while sitting on the bench, if they played in a normal game on the street or random people in college, they will dominate like there is no tomorrow.

I know so because I went to high school in seattle, graduated in 04. brandon roy, nate robinson, marvin williams, rodney stucky, aaron brooks, all came from here. and i saw some of the games my high school team was playing against the people listed above, and even the crappiest player on our high school team, who cant make a shot against them, he still was an all star when he played against regular people.

I remember thinking how 'fast' Craig Hodges was, who was 33 and a role player, and certainly not considered one of the speedier players. One can only imagine trying to guard someone known for speed like Iverson, Rose, Westbrook, etc etc. HELP!!!!

I've never played any pick up games with any pros or college players from any sport. I know some people who did though. People I went to high school with played in pick up games with Reggie Jackson, who plays for the Thunder now.

When my father was a kid, him and his close friends played backyard football with Mike Golic.
