Sorry guys, after todays game....Lin isn't going off the starting line-up.

If you want to personally lose $100 to me send me a DM and we will make it a bet.

Is he the 2nd coming? Hell no. But for a scrub to explode to become a solid starter or so? Yes.

I'm pretty sure he'll be tested in the Knicks' next 10 games (schedule looks tough, though they do have the break). Tonight might be interesting since the opponents have played NY with him in the lineup.

Did you mean to say "top"? If so, I think you are getting a little caught up in the hype.

They aren't even going to be a contender for the ECF, let alone one of the all-time great teams.

Deron Williams making a statement game and shooting like a madman.
Lin is taking ok care of the ball but not shooting well. Melo looks rusty. Amare is doing Ok.
The rest of the Knicks are MIA>

I blamed Melo for this game. He had 0 defense. WTF is he doing? If he want the ring, then work your butt off.

I know the Knicks is not Bull or the Heat, but this current line up is not that bad. They have a chance.

I think the minutes are starting to take a toll on Lin. His face in the 4th quarter looked gassed. DAntoni shoulda played Davis more. He seemed to do ok. Lin should only be playing 30-32 minutes max for the rest of the season. Knicks have the Hawks on Wednesday and then the Heat on Thursday for a b2b. If Lin has to play 35+ minutes against the Hawks, he will certainly run on fumes against the Heat's stifling defense. I can Lin's production tapering off quite a bit if he keeps playing 35+ minutes a game.

The Knicks defense is still awful. They're not contenders unless they pull of some trade by March 15th. Their offense is more promising though.

A chance at what? 2nd round? I can't reasonably say they are any better than the 76ers, Indy etc. right now.

To expect Melo and Amare to change thier spots defensively at this stage of their career is a pipe dream.

HOWEVER, no reasonable NBA follower expected great things from adding those guys but that wasn't the point. The point was to dig out of the cellar of horror and at least become respectable....which they have.
