To expect Melo and Amare to change thier spots defensively at this stage of their career is a pipe dream.

HOWEVER, no reasonable NBA follower expected great things from adding those guys but that wasn't the point. The point was to dig out of the cellar of horror and at least become respectable....which they have.
I could see the Knicks hanging with anyone but Chicago and Miami...Melo's defensive drawbacks are overated he's average, maybe slightlly below average but he's not a complete defensive flop. Stoudamire however, well....he's bad

With Lin's emergence (until he leaves the Knicks after the season due to cap) I don't disagree with that.

Agreed it doesn't help that he's playing with a coach that never emphasizes defense and also playing next to two bad defenders (Fields isn't that great either).

1st half of last night game is the best defense that the Knicks had put up for the longest time.

Hope they will put up a good show tonight.

I didn't like that Lin said this after the game against the Heat

"They did a good job in making me uncomfortable"

HUH? How can he be taken seriously as a leader and he gets flustered so easily?
