Melo needs to beef up his defense. He has no defense whatsoever.

If he has a good day, he will be very productive offensively. But a day like Monday where he missed easy shoot is what contributed to the Knicks loss.

I think part of the problem with establishing a "new" starting lineup is that James Dolan is always looking over D'Antoni's shoulder. Interfering owners are the curse of teams with potential.

But, but that's impossible!

I remember a rather long argument here between myself and some Knicks fans regarding Lebron going there to play. I pointed out that you can't trust an organization with Dolan(s) meddling etc. They swore that the Dolans were going to be hands off and let the GM do his thing. Yeah, um....riiiiiiiiight.

The only thing saving the Knicks ownership, Melo and Amare from a gruesome mauling by the NY media is the surprise emergence of LIn.

Watch Lin leave the knicks after this season becasue they can't afford to match other offers. All heck will break loose. Hillarious.

Wait for the NY Media to turn on him and then he will get all pouty. I still think that this could end in a trainwreck. It's like watching the titanic...you know what's going to eventually happen.

In the lineup posted Melo certainely isn't the worst defender, it's Lin..

Lin is not that bad defender and probably better than Melo. DWilliams was hitting 3s from everywhere(rare 8-14 from 3pt land) which you really can't do much but congrats DWilliams and Lin had to fight through screens to even get close to him. Lin does need to work on doing a better job going through screens, however, on quite a few plays when he was straight up with DWilliams, he stripped the ball a couple of times.

I think Lin needs to be in whenever Amare is in. I don't mind seeing Lin coming off the bench though just to see how well Davis meshes with Melo. Lin/Amare(picknroll) and Davis/Melo would probably be a better fit, but it is still early to say.

LIn having a solid game tonight. Anyone saying he isn't a starter on THAT squad needs their head examined.

I just noticed after last night's Hawk's game that the Knicks have built a pretty nice team. Their starters are good and their bench is better than most teams. Now all they need is good chemistry to put all the pieces together.

I can't wait for tonight's Heat vs Knicks game!!

Lin is an absolutely horrible defender. Williams lit him up, Calderon lit him up etc and Jon Wall lit him up too. Lin is by far the worst defensive player on hat lineup, and it's not even close.

Cherry picking. Not saying he is a good defender but seriously....where were you when Nash was racking up MVP's?
