10 games. Good and talented. I'll buy that. He's in the NBA But lets be serious here, Lin hasn't proven he's an all-star. Lin hasn't even proven that he'll be a permanent starting pg 2 or 3 years from now. I think he's proven he's a contributor and good enough not be riding the bench but of course all the hype is blown way out of proportion.

That's a good point. I think he took a huge step backward in that HEAT game and needs to come back strong in the second half

I was reading an article about Lin the other day--both of the teams that released him last year did so because of financial reasons. Both said they hadn't really wanted to let him go. So the fact that he's actually a talented basketball player isn't a secret. What happened was that the Knicks got a steal!

And you believe that?

The Knicks need to at least try on defense. D'Antoni has never been a guy with a defensive philosophy, but I think the Knicks should do themselves a favor and try. The problem is, Amare is pretty allergic to the thought (and to rebounding) and so is Melo. Heck, people debate about his defense all the time...the thing is, with his abilities, there should be no debate: If he wanted to play defense, he would probably be a very good defender.

The Knicks defense has been pretty good this year.

He's had a good run, yes. But I think a lot of guys in the NBA could pull off what Lin did. 99% of NBA players were superstars in the towns they came from and most were elite players in college. Lin is in no way exceptional.

They just say that because the GM doesn't want to look like an idiot.

Had no idea that the Knicks didn't play until Sunday.
