PG: Lin (Offense)
SG: Shumpert (Defense)
SF: Melo (Offense)
PF: Jeffries (Defense)
C: Chandler (Offense AND Defense)

The problem with the current Knicks rotation is theres always just an offensive or defensive lineup, theres no mixture of the two. Plus with this lineup you have your role players so theres no confusion who will get the ball. You know Lin will attack to the hoop and Pick and Roll with Melo or Chandler. You know if the opposing team has a star PG, then Shumpert will take care of him. Plus the bench is stacked.

Chandler is a poor offensive player. But he has to be on the floor I agree. But not Jeffries over Stoudamire. Stoudamire has to be big part of the knicks to win. And Melo's defensive deficiency's are overated. He is an average defender. And more importantly when has defense ever been impt to dantoni? This lineup has 3 non-factors on the floor offensively. Sure if Chandler has the ball two feet from the basket with nobody around he'll score but thats about it.

He works great with Lin on the pick and roll. He can put up good points per night when used right.

Chandlers 70% fg is generally not pick and roll. The Knicks do not run plays for him. Lin pick and rolls with amare. Chandler gets his points off his rebounding or broken plays.

video 1 was not a play
vid 2, not the play called (see how chandler was looking to pass the ball to someone else before he passed to lin
vid 3 still not a play
vid 4 ummm still not a called play for chandler
video 5, not a called play at all. if anything was one ugly pass.

i stick by the fact that chandler doesnt generally get plays called, he is the recipient of broken plays, fast breaks, and put backs off rebounds.

Actually I think we agree. Another poster said he was a poor offensive player. And what i'm saying is he can be effective offensively. They need to set up more plays for him.

I must ask. Does it matter? Nope.

You have amare and carmelo signed to long contracts.
Keeping line past this year.....questionable.

Knicks have a LONG rebuild still.

Oh, he may realize now, but no coach has the balls to have a star player, who signed a huge deal, who was supposed to be the face of the franchise before 'Melo demanded a trade there, come off the bench. Not going to happen, so it doesn't matter if he realizes it or not.

Yes Chandler can dunk the ball when he gets it 2 feet from the basket and nobody around him, but that doesn't mean he's a good offensive player. As rigas said, most of his points are from rebounds fast breaks etc.
