Yeah, if I'm drafting an all-time team I'd take Kobe over any guard except Jordan and that includes Magic.

I would take magic and maybe Oscar over him in addition to Jordan I think.

Ditto. Particularly if I picked Jordan at one spot. Having Kobe would be somewhat redundant.....

Disagree, that was the same logic the trailblazers used when deciding not to draft Jordan btw.

Bulls played their last 3 championship seasons without a PG, well they listed Ron Harper there but Pippen brought the ball up the court.

I'd be more than happy to run a big guard line-up with Kobe and Jordan.

If I'm picking an all time team and I've already got Jordan, the next obvious choice is Magic to run the show, as far as guards go. Magics ability to get everyone involved makes that one a no-brainer for me....

If you have Jordan, do you really need magic? That'll be an epic power struggle.

If you replaced Magic with Kobe, then your question would be applicable. Magic Johnson was one of the most unselfish superstars in Basketball, why exactly would there be a power struggle?

Let's reiterate: we're talking about an 'all-time team' here. If I pick Jordan at the 2 guard spot, then I'd pick Magic at the point. Why would I pick Kobe Bryant for that spot? Not only is he not a point guard, but pick him over arguably the greatest passer/playmaker the game has ever seen???!!!

Suit yourself, I'd take Kobe for his defense....no real wrong answer in choosing between either.

I'd take Magic for his leadership, passing, ability to maximize the talents of his team, yadda yadda.... I frankly, from a chemistry standpoint, don't see how Jordan and Kobe would work nearly as well as Magic and Jordan. Kobe's defensive advantage in this situation, doesn't negate the advantages of Magic's skillset and playmaking running the show.

Im with Rigas & Greg on this one... Magic would be my choice too. It makes more basketball sense.
