Interesting to look back at that roster....

1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PG: Magic, Stockton....still arguably amongst top 2-3 all-time PG's.
SG: Jordan, Drexler
SF: Bird, Pippen
PF: Malone, Barkley
C: Ewing, Robinson

Other than the C and the SF position you have arguably the GOAT at the position or top 2-3 by most rational analysis.

The team was so stacked that I'm not sure if we could field a comparable squad right now out of the NBA. (at their CURRENT level of play as most of those guys were in their primes except Magic and Bird)

PG: Stockton is a beast in his prime, Magic might not quite be prime at this point. edge: Tie\DT
SG: Jordan in his prime is untouchable especially with Kobe being a bit off prime. edge: DT
SF: Hate Lebron but he is a beast and Durant too. Edge: Tie\Current
PF: Prime Malone is gonna b-slap any PF in the league today. Edge: DT
(THere are some great PF's in the league today but not in their prime)
C: Robinson and Ewing can roughly match Dwight. Edge: Tie

Looking back at the 1992 Olympics (sheesh it's been 20 years already) the amount of talent on that club-whew! And like that Wiki article points out, the gold medal game against Croatia shows the closest point difference-32 points. Amazing.

You are mostly right but I would Prob give Robison and Ewing the Edge over Howard...and Howard is one of my Fav players. They were just too good back in the day. Small Forward I would go with Lebron and Durant. PG, SG and PF is DT all day!!!
