I shudder to think how many more Championships the Spurs would have won had Jack stayed on.

According to a person familiar with his thinking, Anthony's disillusionment stems most from a belief coach Mike D'Antoni and interim GM Glen Grunwald do not trust him. He is surprised that after all the Knicks gave up to trade for him, he has not been asked for more input on personnel decisions, as Deron Williams has with the Nets...

... On Monday night, Anthony only wanted to remain a Knick if he had assurances D'Antoni wouldn't be back next season....

Anthony is not close to owner James Dolan the way Amar'e Stoudemire is. The source said Anthony gets along best with assistant GM Allan Houston, who eventually could succeed Grunwald....

...Though Stoudemire lobbied for the Knicks to trade for Anthony, the pair's friendship has not flourished. "They're not as close as people think they are,'' the source said. "It's an awkward relationship.''

Stephen A smith was on ESPN First Take this morning saying that the report is not true and that he does not want to be traded at all.

Was he pursued by other teams while he was a spur because of the huge role he played in helping them win the 2003 NBA Championship?

Lakers are trying to trade their only backup pg for mike "where's the bong" Beasley. I'm sorry but Beasley is not going to fill any holes. And it's actually going to weaken their guard issue further. Guards have been their biggest issue for 3-4 years now.

Terrible move imo

A little disappointed in the Warriors... I'm glad we finally got rid of Monta Ellis, but the timing is horrible. Why when we finally have some life, for the first time in years, we decide to trade our star player and a decent young PF for a player who's gone for the year and a team cancer like Jackson..

I mean at one point 2 years ago, we were offered Mayo, Thabeet & Gay in a trade for Ellis and Biedrins and we declined. Now we offload our best player for one good player who we won't see for the whole year. Makes no sense.

Oh well, bay area teams suck anyways. Good thing I'm moving soon!

When he was with Baron Davis and the Warriors originally, it was a good fit but he clashed with Don Nelson.

Pacers are in wolves mode! Collect as many 2nd rate point guards as possible. Traded a 2nd rounder for barbosa and Anthony carter. 1st trading Leonard a 2nd rounder and a stashed draftee for George hill. They can't make up their mind I guess
