what a crazy sports day...

first albert pujols signs with the angels, and now chris paul gets traded to the lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers agree to trade Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom for Chris Paul, sources say - ESPN Los Angeles

the lakers will be parting ways with pau gasol and lamar odom, while the rockets' luis scola, kevin martin, and goran dragic are also involved in the deal and headed to new orleans.

now that CP3 has been traded to LA, is it inevitable that dwight howard ends up with the lakers, too? if so, andrew bynum's a goner.

What are the Lakers going to do for front court offense if no Dwight?

Can't see the Magic trading Howard for Bynum straight up....no way... I have a feeling now that Howard is gonna go to the Nets since DWilliams wants to play with him.

Kinda pissed that the Rockets got an aging 31yr old power forward and also had to give up a 1st round pick to N.O. . A bad trade by the Rockets. They still have like 15 mil left to spend so if they can get Nene, then it wouldn't be so bad after all. Nene and Gasol in the front court could be one of the best in the NBA. However, they are weak at the 2 position... Courtney Lee is a bit inconsistent...he will be sharing duties with Terence Williams(a hotdog).

Yeah, wow. I did not see that coming at all. I will be really interested to see how CP3 and Kobe play together.

I don't think NO did that bad in this deal seeing how what some of the other trade rumors were out there.

The lakers gave up both PF. Okafor has to be part of the deal. Yet no one has reported that yet.

the hornets are not done, they have okafur at the 5, scola/odom competing for time at the 4. they now have jarrett jack as their starting PG backed up by dragic. so as it stands the biggest question is who starts at 4.

jack/dragic
martin/belinelli
ariza
scola/odom (or vise versa)
okafur
and pondexter? (dont know his position)

thats 9 players and they will be close to or over the cap (not the tax) still needing 4 players to meet the league minimum.

i do not like this trade for houston who gave up their top scorer, a decent back up PG, and a 31 yr old PF who averaged 18 ppg, 8 rebounds at 10 mil a year and in return they got a 31 yr old PF that averaged 18 ppg, 10 rpg, for 19 mil a year. bad call.
