Yes, I don't pretend the understand the dynamics of large scale purchases such as this, but seems like an assload of money for a lowly team.

I was just going by the estimate than the average NBA team was worth 275-300mil.....so 338mil for the Hornets is chubby.

However, there may be guarantees....gradual funding and so forth which make the offer more appealing.

It would clearly be in the NBA's best interests to finance the deal and thus declare a higher purchase price. Like buying a 15k car but the payments total up to 18k....they say they sold it for 18k.
