The Pacers 'barely' winning against Orlando has no bearing on a potential Heat-Pacers matchup.

The Pacers are a bad team on the road against good teams and lost 3 of 4 against the Heat this season

Pacers lost 3 of 4 to the Magic in the regular season. The Pacers won road games against the Lakers, Bulls and Celtics. The Pacers took Miami to overtime in Miami and came within one tenth of a second of taking the game to a second overtime. The Pacers lead that game by 14 before letting the lead slip; even lead by 5 in the overtime before blowing it.
There is no reason to not think the Pacers can not compete with the Heat, and the rest of the country who has conceded the east to Miami is about to be clued in to that.

The west is 1 major injury away from getting a relative cake walk in the finals vs. the east.
Imagine if Lebron or Wade goes down? Bulls decimated by injuries....there is nobody left after that to reasonably challenge whomever comes out of the west.
Finals would be really boring.

You mean like that time the Lakers were given a free path to the NBA title in 2004?

So basically you are comparing a Magic team without Dwight Howard to a Heat team with three superstars? The Magic team has a bunch of rejects from other NBA teams like Jason Richardson and Big Baby. We will see how it plays out next week.

A healthy Bulls and Heat team would still not be good enough to beat the Spurs in the Finals

That year is so clearly the exception. The nba finals is the most predictable series of any of the big four finals, by a lot.

I'm glad the pacers are good, as I think that city/state has good fans. However, objectively, I'm not giving them much of a chance vs Miami. If I'm wrong I'll happily eat crow as I dislike the heat intensely. Hopefully you'll give us the same if/when your pacers lose handily...

Do you hate the heat because they are "paper champions" or because of Lebron and Bosh joining the team?

I will do what I did last year; have a meltdown and lash out at the other Pacer fan who says "oh well they never had a chance anyway."
