Default The Phoenix Suns/ Nba Forum

I hate the fact that the suns traded away KURT THOMAS.
Shall the suns encounter that "CHEAP SHOT TEAM" called the spurs,
they are going to wish they had kept him, because amare could not match up well with duncan, now dont get me wrong, amare he is one of my "fave 5" players and I love watching him slam dunk, but when he plays against tim duncan (refering to the suns/spurs 2007 playoff match), he had a hard time controlling him and ended up getting in foul trouble as a result.
Whereas Kurt thomas matched up very well against him.
The game that mike D'antoni started kurt thomas in place of amare, the suns blew out the spurs that game.( 103 to 83).

And that was the largest margin of victory over the spurs in thier franchise history.

Overall it seems that every year the suns let go a good player.

in 2005 it was Joe johnson (avg 23 pts. a game)

2006 it was Tim thomas.
he by the way had hit 6 threes in a row against Dallas during the 2006 playoffs. And he also bailed out the suns against the lakers with a last second three. Just with that three, the suns were able to advance to the semi finals.
And now:
Kurt thomas. (great defender and post up shooter against the spurs).

so in summary: the owner (sarver) needs to quit being cheap!!
Yes I know about the salary cap. BUT ! the bottom line is that you will not keep good players without figuring out how to " SPEND MORE MONEY".
And that is why i wonder if the suns will ever win a title.
All the teams that have won titles, the owner decided to figure a way to

"SPEND MONEY" in order to keep good players !!!
