They had more wins the following season, but missed the playoffs. After that, Baron Davis became disgruntled, and GSW didn't think he would stay healthy enough for a new contract (they were right). Then Al Harringston became disgruntled, then Stephen Jackson, and the other spare parts like Matt Barnes went elsewhere. They were a fun squad to watch, but not one built for lasting success...especially with Nellie's lack of defensive fundamental coaching.

Hey,finally a thread about my team. Baron Davis was waiting on an extension but at the same time was conspiring with Elton Brand to join him in Clipperville. Funny thing is that it bit Baron in the butt because Brand lied and took off for Philly while Baron got stuck in LA on the junior circuit. After that the Warriors didn't have a true point guard and honestly haven't had one since. Jackson and Harrington were also fueding with Don Nelson as was previously stated. Biedrins also has dropped off since then and hasn't returned to his original form since his previous injuries.

He definitely wasn't helping but you have to notice a pattern of bringing in mental cases or problem childs. Chemistry is a big thing. Unfortunately we have to commit to players at the right time. If we would have kept Baron back then, who knows? If we would have kept Richmond years earlier our starting 5 might have been Mullin, Hardaway, Richmond, Webber, Seikaly. That team could have done some damage.

he is the reason why the team was trash for 17+ years. the 2007 was a fluke season that ended up as a success in spite of cohan not because of him. i have since boycotted this team because i refuse to support this trash any further. hopefully curry stays healthy all season so the can trade him and his crystalline ankles

GS exported a lot of players that became contenders in the last 20 years. Sprewell,Webber, Mullin, Hardaway, etc

I agree with others. Bad management is the cause.

Mullin got no loyalty from the organization towards the end of his playing career. The same for Hardaway. Webber almost singlehandedly ruined the organization. He didn't want to play center, so they brought in a center. He complained when they traded his friend. He had constant run-ins with Nelson too. Then he wanted out. If they never took him in the draft/trade, the organizations history might be alot more positive. The guy was a mad complainer. Sprewell was another mental case. Remember the choking incident? Like I said before, sometimes we need more guys like David Lee that do their job and don't bring on alot of drama. I just keep thinking about the year when Vlade was drafted. We could have had him. We could have also been a solid playoff contender with him. A great role player.
