I've been a vocal critic of the Knicks owners and management decisions, well so has most everyone else.

Got to be fair and give them a nod for starting 6-0 with a number of quality wins including a win AT San Antonio last night.

They haven't won thier division in something like 18-19 years so maybe this is their year to break that streak and make some noise in the playoffs.

I have to say they are the biggest surprise of the season so far.

They dropped a young PG and hired an old one. Good decision.

It's early. They look great so far, but I won't give them credit until they do this during the playoffs.

When your best players haven't experienced winning, it's good to surround them with veteran talent that has. Tyson Chandler, Rasheed Wallace and J.Kidd have been all the way, and know what it takes.

The team is actually pretty well put together and balanced, you've got guys who can carry you offensively and they've got a few defenders on the squad now. It's still early to say where they really are, but top 4 isn't much of a stretch.

While also adding Raymond Felton. Him + Kidd more than make up for Lin, who's a solid player at best.

Oh, I'm not thinking the Knicks will be a serious threat in the east but just winning their division and *maybe* a couple playoff games or even getting to the 2nd round would be a big improvement.

They won a playoff game last year. It was something like the first one in 10+ years.

They should fire-sale trade Amare if they can get anyone to take him....but the Knicks generally get the short end of the stick in every trade they make so perhaps just amnesty.

Good luck to them getting rid of Stoudamire, he makes a franchise player salary but he really isn't and frankly never was. You'd have to package him for several players to make the numbers line up, but he really isn't worth 'several players' and he certainly isn't worth a 'star for star' trade with anyone else making max dollars, aside from Boozer and Joe Johnson who are also overpaid.
