i have a better proposal...trade Howard to the Rockets for Asik, filler, plus under the table $ by Rockets for that extra year that Howard loses from leaving Birds rights, and an endorsement deal for Tsingtao beer around $10mil....

Amare can still run the floor and hit the boards. He's just not a good fit with him and Carmelo on the floor at the same time.

Even if Amare isn't "All of those things" why trade one liability for another. The object is to make YOUR TEAM better. If the Knicks trade Amare they are best served by getting some athletic YOUNG players and a draft pick or two than on veteran player on the downside of his career who really can't run the floor or defend.

Of course they are best served doing that. And I'd be best served winning the lottery but neither is going to happen! So the Knicks should dump amare on whoever is dumb enough to take him.
