Clippers sellout at 19,060 vs. 18,997 for the Lakers.

Is the reason perhaps due to press box or camera re-orientation?

Just curious...

Lakers fans are fairweather fans. Clippers are bandwagon fans. The WHOLE LA fan base in general is messed up. I mean where'd all these clippers fans come from all of a sudden?

Some people are fans of winning. Its better to be a fairweather fan, that way, you dont waste part of your life rooting for a loser.

There's your tip for the day!

That is fine with me. Sports cost too much money to support a crap product. Heck, I've never seen discounts given for losing team tickets...have you? Cubs games should be free admission by now.

Ex ZACTLY! They dont say "We played poorly today and lost, here's 30% of your money back" You pay the same price for winning or losing.

You mean like how the Madison square garden would have around 40% Lakers fans in attendance 2 years ago but now they're all back to wearing the blue and orange

I am not for sure, but most likely it has to do with something along the lines of what you suggested. Could be more room devoted for press, or the Clippers organization could just be squeezing a few more seats in Staples for more ticket revenue.

Each building is different with luxury boxes being the money makers for each venue. If you check the capacity for each building across the NBA and NHL, they are all built slightly different.Press box, luxury box, and floor seating are never the same.

I saw attendance for a Clippers home game recently at just over 20,000 (holiday break against Celtics?) but then back to 19,060 for subsequent games.

Hmmm....

Unrelated, but is it possible Clippers prices are more than Lakers prices if dealing with ticket agencies or scalpers?

When fans are too loyal team management feels little pressure to remain competitive. They slack off and make excuses. The whole point of competition is to win at some point. I have more respect for the fan who won't accept losing than I do for the one consistently looking forward to next year.
