Apparently after the loss to the 76ers, Dwight Howard had to be restrained when he and Kobe got into a heated exchange.

Apparently Dwight Howard has been unhappy for a while since he's been in Los Angeles.

Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard nearly fought after Lakers

You still think Howard's staying after this season?

If the Lakers fail to make the playoffs not only will Dwight be running out of L.A., but I see probably 85% of the roster completely changed come the 2013-2014 season.

Atlanta Hawks might be in good position to get Howard if he decides to leave $20mil on the table...as far as the fight...here is the showdown right here:

Im not sure it really happened, but the ingredients are there:

Kobe = Driven; focused on one goal.
Dwight = Clown.

Default Howard is a disappointment; hurts Lakers

Dwight Howard is proving me right. He's incredibly overrated and a lark.

I look for him to be moved after this season. He will go to another team with his very limited skills and be disappointing.

He's a free agent so maybe he will move himself.

Howard is what is hurting the Lakers? Really?

I like to think it's Gasol, MWP, Nash and no bench.

Then you have a completely new system and coach....twice so far this year.....

Pretty much Kobe is turning on the only other guy that has been bringing it for the Lakers this season.

I guess dropping a 14-26 on Denver the other night while trying to plug the lane as 20-somethings blow past the lakers defensive "golden girls" is disappointing.

there is always that pesky shot numbers stat. kobe and artest combined for 4 less shots then the entire team. they combined for 40% while gasol and howard combined for 71%.

kobe never learned that good ball is played inside out. blame the bench, blame gasol, blame artest or whom ever but in the end kobe can score all he wants he inst going to shoot this team into the playoffs. its like our current govt, kobe is spending, artest is higher taxes, and howard and gasol are tax breaks, lower spending, and lower taxes and the people will prosper. cant spend yourself to a good economy, cant shoot yourself to a title. oh and dantoni is clearly mr obama in this case, because he loves his spending and tax increases.

Personality-wise I don't see how Kobe and Howard match. Two complete opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of how they approach the game. As far as how the season is going for the Lakers, not terribly surprising and their issues have been documented here before: 34 year old Kobe carrying the offensive load, can Nash stay healthy, has Howard recovered from back surgery. All issues that were predicted months ago and coming to fruition. And I'll repeat what I said some time ago, even if everyone is healthy in LA I still wouldn't put them over OKC. No other team has their mix of dominant scorers, defenders, youth, athleticism. And the great thing is they've been playing together for years now, so their chemistry is the kind you can only obtain by going through a few playoff wars and failures.
