The Maloof family is finalizing the sale of the Sacramento Kings to a Seattle based group according to Yahoo sports. Looks like NBA is on the verge of finally returning a team to Seattle.

Man, I missed the Supersonics. The Seattle Kings just doesn't sound right; they should give the name back to KC.

The NBA really needs to chill on these relocations/ name changes. It makes this goofy league look downright unstable.

I always thought it was a shame when Seattle lost the Sonics. Good for them.

How much will the Maloofs owe Sacramento if they move the Kings? I think it was a couple mil or there abouts. One thing for sure, Kevin Johnson and the brothers don't get along well.

That's funny, because there was also talk of them coming to Virginia Beach!

In the last 20 years, only four teams have relocated; and one of those was the New Jersey Nets moving from one part of the NYC metro to another. The Hornets, Grizzlies, and Sonics are the only three.

The only people finding instability in that, are people looking for a reason to hate the NBA.

Yeah, but to who?

Even Clay Bennett owns the "Sonics"...until they actually set up shop in Seattle again.

This new group will keep the Kings history and whatnot, I'm sure.

Sacramento is not going to let the Kings go without a fight. This is far from over. Stay tuned.
