I was born and raised in Miami, and growing up it was rare to know other Miamians who supported our hometown team until Pat Riley came along. I remember being at school seeing kids with L.A., or Chicago gear on back then. Rarely would I see someone sporting Heat gear. I was a fan back in the Glen Rice and Rony Seikaly era when I was a kid. I've been there through the downs and ups. So, where did you grow up and how did you become a Heat fan?

Gotta give it up for my Heat tonight. Great night to beat the Lakers. I was depressed all day as the world comes in down on me, and once again they come through when life is going south. LET'S GO HEAT!!!

The two reasons why I pay for a subscription to Sirius XM are Chill Channel 53 and now NBA Channel 86. These are really the only two stations I listen too ( I am pretty satisfied with local SoCal radio) unless I am on a long road trip.

For a while now, when I am out late at night I listen to a program on Chill 53 called "Sugar Free Radio with Rony Seikely." Real good ambient music and I have always wondered if the DJ was the same original Miami Heat Rony Seikely. When I listen to it its late at night and I am usually driving home tired, so I only just now got around to looking it up and it turns out he is.
