Some fans don't like him because of the ESPN coverage he receives and then the Decision just made it worst. I never had a problem with him and still feel he is one of the most entertaining to ever play the game because of his handle and driving ability

Personally I don't care for his arrogance, same reason I don't like a lot of athletes.

I don't get why people hate him either. He's never had any off the court problems. He's an unselfish player. He seems like a nice guy, he doesn't really ever run his mouth. He says the right things and takes beatings from other players and doesn't complain.

The Decision™ was dumb and reflected poorly on the league, but people need to get over it.

Flopping? Everyone in the NBA flops. Why wouldn't you sell calls if it's effective? Harden, Rondo, Chris Paul, Ginoboli, Durant, and a bunch of other guys are far worse offenders than Lebron and no one hates them. And I guarantee everyone posting here who played basketball has flopped before. Ever fallen backwards when taking a charge when you could have stayed straight up? That's flopping, and most of the time if you don't fall backwards you're not getting that call.

I mean, he hasn't done much to elicit hatred. It's not like he assaults teammates, cheats on his wife, embarrasses teammates in the locker room, blackballs guys from the Olympic team, or stays up all night gambling before playoff games.

And to the people who don't like him, would you rather he not play in the NBA? Because he's a one-of-a-kind player if there ever were one. IMO there has only ever been one other player with such a unique combination of physical abilities and skill set and that was Magic Johnson. Players like him do not come along very often at all. If you're any kind of fan of basketball you're going to miss him when he's gone because there will be no 280 lb. 6'9" freight train that can guard 1-5, play point guard, hit 3s from half court, and beat 6'0" guys down the court. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Lots of people always make this statement and were huge fans of MJ so I hope that is not the case with you. Michael Jordan was very arrogant and for good reason even though I couldn't stand him.

Americans dont like nice guys and unselfish players. They like narcisists like Jordan and Kobe. Gambling self promoters who cheat on their wives, give Hall of Fame speeches about "I I I and ME ME ME" and berate their teammates infront of others swiping their dignity.

"I don't need to flop. I play an aggressive game. I don't flop. I've never been one of those guys."
