I'm sorry if your a Spurs fan but that lost needed to happen for the greater good of the franchise in the future.
I can agree that losses like these do help a franchise. For example, the loss to OKC last year made the Spurs come back even harder this year. The same with the first round loss to the Grizzlies. It's a humbling experience yes, but it does help you to get stronger.

I'm sure they won't have a problem addressing those issues.

Chicago???

Didn't the Miami Heat beat the Bulls with a healthy Derrick Rose a few seasons ago?

The only two teams that pose any threat to the Heat winning again are the Spurs and Thunder and the Heat have beaten both of them two years in a row.

That's not entirely relevant to any future matchups. Assuming Rose returns to health, the rest of Bulls have gotten better since then, and they've always played Miami tough. Wade as a player is declining, so one can make the argument that the 'big 3' has already peaked. Miami will need to make roster moves, in particular they need to improve their frontline. Chris Bosh is playing out of position at center and that was very evident throughout the playoffs.

Given Derrick Rose is healthy, that's not totally a given.

Well Chicago has the best chance to dethrone Miami if things fall in place for Chicago.

I just don't see the Thunder or Spurs doing any damage to the Heat.

Of course it's not a given. I'm just saying you can't take a matchup in 2011 as empirical evidence that Chicago is incapable of beating Miami with a *healthy* Rose. The Bulls played them tough this playoffs with Rose on the bench.

Right.

I think the Thunder w/ a healthy Westbrook and Bulls w/ a healthy Rose are both better teams than this year's Spurs. Better than the Heat? I don't know. I think the Heat played woefully in the Finals.

BTW, does anybody else feel robbed of seeing the OKCity Thunder w/ Westbrook and Harden go up against the Heat this year.

I think they would have beaten the Heat.
