For you people thinking that Greg Popovich is the greatest coach in the world, please stop. He made 2 fatal mistakes at the end of the game that would probably won him the championship. #1 taking Tim Duncan out at the end of the game. #2 not fouling at the end of the game. Totally unacceptable for a so called top tier coach.

Popovich is the best coach in the NBA. Don't be a prisoner of the moment.

He took Duncan out because if the Heat had nothing but shooters out there, is Duncan going to be able to cover enough ground to challenge the shot? Vogel made the same decision, but the difference this time was the Spurs have stopped Lebron from consistently driving.

Fouling at the end of the game is tough. The timing has to be right and even if you do it, you still have to make free throws at the other end. If your defense is good, which it is, then there is a chance that it wouldn't matter. I don't think we would be having this conversation if Allen missed that 3.

I think that Pop made today mistakes. Really crucial ones.

1. Duncan was out of power in the 4 quater. There was no danger from him. All the points in the pain was made by Leonard. Imo Splitter should have players - he started this period really well.

2. Way to small line up on the end. Miami made 2 offensive rebounds which let them to score 2 3pointers. No bonner no Duncan no Splitter in play. Why? Small players didn't even jump to block 3 pointers they only stand didn't make even much pressure..

3. Why Greg decided to help miami to start 4th quater with such fire? There was +10 which was quickly changed into +3 or +4 only. Audience started to help miami which was really important and that made them believe.

If Popovich would've won tonight I have a strong feeling you wouldn't have made a thread like this. No offense but you sound like a disgruntled Spurs fan.

if...if...He had game in hands but he didn't help his team to win. If Pamela Anderson wasn't sexy she wouldn't be celebrity. If lebron Games didn't have hands he wouldn't trow basketball so well.

Um 1 mistake and he's overrated? What is life? Waste of a post.

I disagree...

Coach Popp has a great body of work. Just look how much he's gotten out of crappy players for years!
