Ok guys I know this may be early, but we know the stats, they both have 2 Finals MVP. Rings don't count much (IMO) cause Horry has 7 and we know he's not the best, so I'm gonna count Finals MVPs. Who do you take? Who's better? I'm gonna start the non-ending poll...Hopefully this poll stays around for a long time so we can see the end result...

I'm going to avoid being a prisoner of the moment, and reserve judgment for now. Lebron as a physical specimen is unmatched on the perimeter and one can make the argument that the total sum of his game, combining scoring/passing/rebounding/defense, is greater. However, in sports we're very much a culture of 'what have you done lately' and it should be stated that prime Kobe was a beast and still balling at an incredible level this season at 34 after 17 years in the league. I'd like to see how Lebron's game matures as he slowly loses that physical edge once he's on the wrong side of 30.

Good points, Lebron at 28 still has some time to see who he really becomes... which can be scary, or then again a disappointment....

No doubt I think Jordan and Kobe are the two best assassin's in the WORLD. However, you need Asssassin's to win Rings (Jordan and Kobe) and you need facilitator's to win rings (Magic and LeBron) so its a tough decision. Why humans love to compare, contrast, judge, and criticize.

It's about a year or two old. I believe Lebron is 7-16 now, I don't believe Kobe's has changed since then.

We don't know how he ranks until he retires, but we can't say he isn't clutch anymore...he is big time in a 7th game of a series...ESPN showed his stats earlier about elimination and 7th games and he has been huge in those games. I have a feeling by the time he retires, the discussion/debates will be between him and MJ.
