I think you meant Newark. Anyways, they'll be relocating to Newark eventually. I don't see that Big Apple carpetbagger spending the dough to refurbish Wells Fargo, he has much more incentive to move them to Prudential.

Even if Harris wanted to move the team out of the Philly area, there is no way the NBA Board of Governors would approve it. Do you really think the NBA would move one of it's historic franchises out of the 4th largest media market? It would be like moving the Celtics out of Boston.

But I thought if the owner made that type of decision he could do it?

Any relocation of a team has to be approved by the NBA Board of Governors which include NBA team owners.

Did I really think that Los Angeles would ever have two NBA teams?
That New York would have two NBA teams?
That the popluar Sonics would ever leave Seattle?
That Los Angeles would be without a football team?

Mega big-cities such as those having two franchises isn't really suprising, it's the fact that they're NBA teams, a sport that's has questionable popularity amongst the largest demographic in this country, and I believe is 3rd behind MLB and of course the NFL. Nothing really surprises me anymore, plus the fact that the Flyers and even the Union are more popular than the Sixers is disgusting
