I love LBJ but I think D. Rose is a better player. I'm a big fan of both but had D. Rose played last year, I'm not sure if Miami would be a repeat. I think D. Rose and the Bulls can knock LBJ and Company off of their perch. I think D.Rose is a better player than LBJ. Comments?

yeah .... there is a gap between LeBron and the league .... Rose needs to work on proving he belongs on that next tier with guys like Durant

They're kinda similar players. Both athletically gifted, great at driving, great at setting up teammates for a shot, mediocre-to-good 3 point shot (lebron slightly better career average at this point because of experience)

One difference that I think will make D Rose better when it's all said and done - Derrick is a better go-to-guy when the game is on the line (at this point in his career. though I'm not sure where LeBron was 4-5 seasons in, he has had some blunders and they don't call him LeChoke for nothing [though he has recently nixed that by winning 2 titles]).

LeBron is obviously bigger and plays in the post. Not sure if I recall Rose doing anything in the post, though I think he definitely has the size to post up smaller point guards, and the shots/layup ability.

I think Derrick has a better chance of being successful in his career because he is with a better organization which done a better job of building around Rose than Cleveland did building around LeBron

We talking about tonight? Or in general? If we're just talking about opening game I don't think the Bulls stand much of a chance. Their defensive presence is going to be really lacking without Heinrich and Noah.

I agree. But I've heard Noah is ready for the game, Hinrich wants to play too.

CP3 and Rondo are the best PG's in the league. LBJ is the best player in the league. D-Rose has no heart and may not ever be as good as he was before the injury.

LeBron. I love Rose, but Lebron hands down. The guy can defend all 5 positions, can facilitate, drive, shoot (it's getting better). The guy also has never been bounced out of the 1st round, and was able to take a team of Big Z, Sasha Pavlovic, Larry Hughes, and Drew Gooden to the Finals.

What are your reasons for saying this?

His performance tonight justified it.

Sitting on the bench in a suit when the doctors say you're at 100%, your teammates are exhausted, injured, and/or sick (the Bulls had all three), and it's the playoffs. Inexcusable. He could win three rings and him in a suit against the Nets and Heat, that'll be D-Rose to me.
