IMO, the Net's being 4-0 against the Heat means NOTHING come playoff time.

Game 1: 100-101
Game 2: 95-104 (no Wade or Chalmers)
Game 3: 95-96
Game 4: 87-88 (no Wade and could have went either way depending of ref's call)

That's 3 games decided by 1 point and two games played without Wade. Now if you told me the Nets were regularly beating a healthy Heat team by a large margin, I'd say being 4-0 matters a tiny bit.

Post #59 of this thread. Poster is hoping they come close to the Bulls 72-10.

Since they didn't specifically use "70" it was a little harder to find...all the way back on page 6ish of the thread.

My apologies for not giving you clearer directions to finding it although I must say I'm a little shocked that you can't possibly believe that Indy could have bandwagoners or overly exuberant newer fans (like every other successful team gets) and that I must be making it up.

I wonder if that was the reason Lebron decided to rest the final two games of the season? Saying to himself..."they not getting past the Nets or Bulls so it don't matter if we have the number 2 seed"

You said fans in the preseason. That's one guy who may not even be a Pacer fan at the end of November, when the Pacers were 12-1, saying he was hoping they would come close to 72-10. Yeah, at the end of November I was "hoping" for that too. Not exactly "predicting" it would happen.

I'm hoping the Bulls come close to beating San Antonio in the NBA Finals.

Let's recap some interesting things from the season.

1. Orlando and LA ended with fewer wins that Houston. (combined) Good riddance Dwight!

2. Despite a rough start, the Nets actually made a nice run.

3. Indiana....the opposite.

4. The Clippers are quietly just getting better and better, I say quietly because of all the attention paid to Durant\OKC and the Houston experiment that appears to be working out.

5. Dwight Howard with a relatively quiet, uneventful meshing in Houston is a striking contrast to his year at the Lakers.

6. Knicks missing the playoffs. Ouch.

7. Will D-Rose ever again have a healthy season?

I just don't buy the Clippers yet. They are going to have to show me something in the playoffs to convince me that they are contenders. I can't see them beating the Spurs or the Thunder.

I actually think Houston is a dangerous team. Despite their lack of consistent defense, they have the potential to beat any team in the West.

I can easily see either three teams in the ECF. We will see how it goes but from a physical game standpoint the Pacers got three potential match ups which have not been great for them this year. The Nets, Bulls, and Hawks. It will be interesting to see. Pacers still have to be a favorites to get to ECF with the Heat but who knows.
