Howard had it rollin' last night... jump hooks, alley oops, free throws. Then he throws the ball into the stands. One free throw for the Mavs. Guess what - when Marion hit the three at the end - it put the Mavs up by one. Little things matter...

It's a shame they couldn't finish the game and win.

That is not a very bright outlook.
He needs a wing defender to cover his mistakes. Beverly is a good defender but to small parsons isn't a good defender. With a kawhi/ George/ even a thabo type guy their defense would be leaps and bounds better as a team.

You can't throw a great post defender in and expect to win if he doesn't have help on the wing.

Look at the spurs model, always Tim, but Bowen and kawhi. They tried RJ who's defense was ok but not good enough. They had a lot of heart break in the RJ years.

Could be, all I keep hearing is Andersen or illasova. Neither would help the defense much IMO.

Clearly they are looking to put scoring around Howard in the hopes he can hold down the fort. IMO that never works, you really need great inside AND outside defense. Even then it's no guarantee, look at Memphis, they have both but no scoring.

I really like what Indy has, hibbert is IMO a better defender this year than any big, George is a very good defender, hill is also a very good defender. They have some scoring pop with George and west, plus grit with scola off the bench.
I'm sure I'm missing guys without going looking, but I'd say they are the best defensive team makeup followed by SA then Miami.

Maybe if he buys it the people in Houston will actually be able to see a rockets game now and then on tv?
