Those are two of the most overrated players in the NBA.

How so? NBA is a super star league. Landing Howard would have done us (Mavs) good in the long term. Big men are rare and defence is rarer in NBA these days. Other than the championship that Mavs won, history proves that teams come out on top with 2 super stars.

Yes but you would have never got the return on investment for those players. Don't get me wrong, Howard is a beast, but he's missing something I can't put my finger on. Maybe heart? I don't know. And Deron Williams is straight up garbage, I'm sorry.

I agree that neither of those players have what it takes to lead a team to a championship. I'm glad we didn't get them. But I wish we hadn't blown up our championship team in pursuit of either of them.

Howard may have the size, but he isn't aging gracefully like a Tim Duncan or a Kevin Garnett.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Monte Ellis.

Been playing very well and Dirk said that he is a great team mate and is making everyone else better.

I'm content with the FA signings of Monta Ellis, DeJuan Blair, Jose Calderon and Sam Dalembert. Also, looking forward to seeing Devin Harris on the court with Monta.

The Mavs definitely need to work on the D but so far, so good.

D12 and DWill can kick rocks!

He may be overrated, but he would have done well in Dallas with Dirk, I think.

Lmao how is he not aging gracefully? Howard has already led a team to the Finals too. Him next to Dirk would be much better than Samuel Dalembert, who Dwight abused last week.
