Following the glory days of the ABA, the Pacers, in my humble opinion, will never see an NBA championship much like in the way the Lions will never win the Super Bowl.

You'll have Pacer fans, from twenty years from now, albeit pathetically, justifying that they are a good franchise since they won three ABA titles in five trips/tries.

I really believe the Pacers' curse became more notable or evident with the Ron Artest/Pacers WWF/NBA fight-night at the Palace. Any astute basketball observer knew it was the Pacers' year to win it all. (2004-2005)

Not to mention Reggie Miller wasting his talents in corn hole cesspool of a state people call Indiana.

Jonathan Bender

And Roy Hibbert's mental breakdown. The guy sees a sports shrink; yea it's that bad.

Just to name a few things.....

The Pacers are no more cursed than any other team. Your open hatred is laughable/validation of new-found success. You know how I know the Pacers are good......people on online forums openly hating them.

Well, you might be onto something

Pacers were probably the best (highest winning percentage) of the 90's to not crack the Finals. Losing the Eastern Conference Finals in 94, 95, 98 & 99.

They finally broke thru in 2000 only to run into Shaq's Lakers

That Classic 1998 Eastern Conference Finals series came down to Game 7 (Bulls first in 4 years) and it was a 2 point game with 2 minutes remaining.

Chicago Cubs easily... they have more non-championship years that the Pacers have been in existence.

The NBA has relatively few teams which win championships compared to the other major sports. If the Pacers are cursed, then over half the franchises since the merger are cursed too.

Chalk one up for Lance Stephsenson's big mouth and Roy Hibbert's zero-point game.

Surely you are not naive enough to think the Heat need Lance to talk for them to play well.

I dunno... the Buffalo Bills and their fans might have something to say about being "cursed".

Especially when you reach 4 straight super bowls and don't win any of them.

The Pacers "problem" is anytime they have a "great" team there's one or two that are even better then they are.... it happens... have to learn to beat those teams at some point. Or face the realization that the current team is just not good enough... plain and simple.

Meh, most professional teams regardless of the sport are "cursed".

Everyone can't win a championship, just enjoy the game.
