Miami had Homecourt last year and won. When where they "still beat."?

Lets just sit back and enjoy the series. Miami has won games on the round every single series including in the finals. Homecourt is a big thing to have but Miami has proven over and over again series dont depend on Homecourt.
None of the teams built around aging veterans that have had to play 100+ game seasons year after year has ever gotten their knickers in a twist over HCA. The Spurs don't have this problem because of their many young players and deeeeeeeep bench. (Anyone see the 25-0 bench scoring advantange around the 4th quarter last night? )

This series should be a dog fight, get out a coin and flip it folks....will very likely come back down to a single shot here or there that either goes in or rattles out.

It's a long series, if there is a team that can win road games its the Heat. And they still won game 6, yea sure it took missed free throws and making threes but they did it, so they won, they weren't beat in game 6. Why do they have to win 2 in SA? You think because the Spurs won game 1 last year they have to be able to win one at Miami. Pacers won a game in Miami the past two years, they didnt this year.

You know what team has the NBA record longest streak for getting at least one road win in series? This Miami Heat team.

Lets not forget how important Parker is. The heat really had no answer for Parker last year until Game 5..when he really started to irritate his ankle. A healthy Parker ankle last year the SPurs probably win. In all fairness though Wade was hobbled last year. A iffy parker combined with a healthy Wade means miami wins in 6..possibly 5 depending on the extent of parkers injury!

Well they better get Game 1 to take the pressure off because not so sure they can win Game 2. Like last year when the Spurs were in Miami for Game 1, they won and that's what the Heat have to do this year

The Spurs aren't slouches on the road either when they really focus on it. Last night clearly showed that. I can't think of a more hostile road environment than OKC, truthfully. Last night's win, IMO, is bigger than any of the blowout wins in San Antonio. OKC has always been considered the Spurs' kryptonite, even more than the Heat. There's been too much talk about how the Spurs got to the finals last year due to OKC being eliminated in the earlier round due to injury. Then the beginning of this series -- Ibaka's injured, so if the Spurs win, it doesn't count. Well Ibaka returned and played 39 minutes last night. The Spurs exorcised whatever demons they had -- they beat their nemesis fair and square, with all players present. And they did it not by having the greatest talent on the planet, but by team basketball and a coach that, for the most part, is almost like a damn Professor X. He figured out how to mitigate the Ibaka problem for great results. I, too, wondered how he was gonna get Air Congo out of the paint. Maybe that's why he's a coach and I'm not :P

The Heat and Spurs are virtual clones, even with the Heat's star power. The Spurs have lost to OKC more times than they've lost to the Heat. And both teams know that last year was a very tight series that was almost within the Spurs grasp had it not been for several issues. This isn't taking anything away from the Heat. A lessor team would have given up. Both teams are good. Maybe that's why there is a respect between the two teams, because it's a toss up as to who will win. This matchup will be one for the ages. Finally, something us fans can relish!

Just like how the Heat lost game 1 to OKC or how they lost game 1 to the Pacers this year.

For the Heat to have their best chance you are right a split would be good but either game 1 or game 2 is fine. Makes no difference which one it is. This is the Miami Heat, this is their fourth straight NBA Finals and you are talking about pressure for game 1? Do the Heat need to come out ready to play and intense? Yes. But pressure on them? No, they understand it is a long series.

The fact that you compared the mental midget Pacers to the Spurs says a lot. Spurs have shown they can get a win on the road against a good team. Does that mean they will? No. But the fact that you have Miami automatically getting one in SA but there's no chance SA can win in Mia anymore just isn't the case.

Just saying winning game 1 takes the pressure off getting the split. Game becomes a throw away game since you have 2 Home games coming up
