He would have people hyping him as better than Lebron, but he'll have a ways to go before he could pass him. If anyone is in line to get the torch it's KD though. It's possible he could pass Lebron by the time he's 28...that's this year plus 3 more seasons. He has A LOT of work to do.
Assuming it ends up being Heat vs OKC again in the finals this year and OKC wins, is Durant officially better than LeBron?

I hope you aren't getting hung up on MVP = best player in the league because that's not what the award is based on. (Not being disrespectful to Durant, he's a great player)
If it happens, Lebron would still have more accomplishments in the post-season and career wise. These type of questions are usually settled after careers have ended, or at least near the end. Both of these guys have 5-10 years left in the league at least.
Lebron pretty much owes Ray Allen one of his rings. Lebron couldn't bail them out of that game with all his might. Ray Ray did it with one shot.
