Maybe my thought process is drastic but here we have a player who's success is predicated on explosiveness and driving to the basket and, as this Finals series has shown us, he just can't do that effectively anymore, then again it could just be that SA so great at defense that it makes Wade look not good. I think if I'm him I come to terms with the idea that my high flying days are over and over the summer I work on my post game and shooting and become what MJ was in 97 and 98, that's what Kobe's done. If I'm Spolstra, I seriously consider making Wade a 6th man, I mean there are plenty of deadly 6th men like Ray Allen and Manu. Thoughts??

I think he can still be effective in limited minutes, much like Allen, Duncan, and Ginobili are. The problem right now is that he plays so many minutes during the regular season he seems to have nothing left for the Finals. If they can limit him to about 25-30 min/game I think he might still be effective, but it's hard to say. In these Finals he's certainly looked spent and old.

Wade is not quite done, but it's obvious his best days are behind him. He's got 2-3 years of productive years left, and then he'll either be relegated to veteran backup, or role player for other teams. So much of his game relies on him being explosive and quick. He hasn't been any of those during these Finals.

Leonard spanked Wade all over the court last night. He got all up in his business.

I think he'll pack it in as I stated in another post, he just didn't look with it last night. He has won 3 NBA Championships with the Heat what else does he need to prove.

Wade was just a non-factor. Has he really fallen that far?

the problem with wade is that he is super athletic, but once thats gone he has nothing left. Kobe has has jumpshot to save him, but wade was never a good 3 point shooter and he is not a good dribbler to be a PG.

I see Blake griffin with the same problem unless he develops a solid 18 foot jumper

Twenty million a year for a part time job would be a pretty hard gig to walk away from.

^^^Yeah, he's got over 40million reasons to hang around another 2 years.

Also, sometimes a player looks washed up but they get healed up a bit and then come back.

They were saying the same things about Ginobli last year and Duncan a few years back.

A big problem he has is with his 1st step diminished these younger guys are playing up on him and that also takes away his big pump-fake >>>> get you in the air to close on him and then drawing the shooting foul.

I can see that if bron and bosh left, wade can still average 22 PPG due to more chances with the ball. He will be 33 and 34 the next 2 seasons, and in terms of worth i would say hes probably worth 13 million per year. anyone can easily pick 5 players thats better than wade.
