The Nets & Hawks are swapping first round selections, so unless you're a Hawks fan I don't know why you'd care whether Brooklyn starts taking or not. Probably the reason they are swapping selections is the main reason the Nets haven't started the dump truck yet, what's the point of taking if your pick's gonna end up being in the late 20's anyways??

I am a Hawks fan and I do want Brooklyn to move up in the draft. They're 11.5 games back of the Knicks right now....if they get in the top seven then anything can happen. They have a nice 3 game losing streak going on and lost 7 out of their last 10. Yeah, they will get our pick but that's their problem. LOL. They are in a bad spot....might as well take the L and plan to tank next year.
Karl is a proven winner. Sounds like the people running the organization are not, however. The Kings need some stability- it'll be a long climb with the West being so tough. I hope they'll stick with him, and let him control player personnel moves. In Atlanta, Coach Bud running the team w/o any real interference is a huge reason we are winning. He gets "his" players, and gets rid of those that don't fit- see Joe Johnson, and Josh Smith.
Yes, Karl is a proven winner...let's hope ownership lets him do his thing...
That is why I said I hope ownership leaves him alone...will they? I doubt it. I have no reason to believe they will do the right thing at this point...
It's annoying that the new commissioner extended the All Star Break because some players wanted a longer break. I am really losing interest in this new NBA and confident I will not be watching in 10 years.

What's wrong with a longer break? It allows players to recuperate better over the long 82 game season IMO, so I'm okay with it. I'm also in favor of cutting the 82 game season to ~65 games, but the overall loss of revenue/profit/salary from all sides means it will (likely) never be a reality.
