Interesting choice to say the least.

Dolan, however, apparently jumped the gun in announcing Thomas' part-ownership stake in the Liberty, according to WNBA President Laurel Richie.

"The Madison Square Garden organization announced that Isiah Thomas has been named president of the New York Liberty and that he will take an ownership interest in the team, pending WNBA approval," Richie said in a league statement. "New owners are approved by our WNBA Board of Governors, and this process has not yet begun."

I'll go easy on him because the perfect storm of stupidity between the Dolans and him pretty much turned the Knicks franchise into a laughing stock.

It was an awesome thing to see.

Isaiah is the Matt Millen of hoops. A terrible manager who knows how to suck up to ownership.

Trying to figure out how the WNBA can have him own a team but the NBA can't have Donald Sterling....lol.

Desperation.....desperation....desperation.......

Either that or he won 2k on a lucky slot machine pull and bought the liberty with what was left after a good dinner.

As long as he doesn't get hit with more charges or say something super offensive he'll be fine.

It's not like the performance of the Liberty good or bad is going to draw the notice of ESPN.

James Dolan is an IDIOT!! He is a spoiled brat whose daddy gave him the Knicks, Liberty and Rangers as toys to play with!! Look at the Knicks' history since Dolan took over around ~1995. Worst team in the NBA by far!! I mean, the 2000's decade was the most miserable time for any NYK fan!! And the 2010's are headed in the same direction!!

I happily agree.

Long live James Dolan!

I've heard Phil Jackson had to have a little "heart to heart" about operational control with Dolan not so long ago.

Seems like PJ may have been promised the keys to the car but Dolan is still reaching for the wheel from the passenger seat.

How long does PJ put up with it? That man is patient but I doubt he suffers idiots forever.

Knicks management probably did not think through this dynamic...

Report: Phil Jackson ‘not happy’ about Isiah Thomas’ return to work at MSG

Don't think the article mentioned this...

Who did Phil Jackson coach for? Da Bulls.

Who did Thomas play for? Detroit Bad Boys.

Dolan probably should have took that into consideration.

Wait a minute... Bill Laimbeer is the head coach... Whoa...

Maybe it's not a big deal anymore.
