Yes, they are illnesses, but still require one to get help for them...especially someone with his resources. If Robert Downey Jr can get clean, anyone can. He has children who depend on him now more than ever...unfortunately it may be too late.

I think he may have overdosed on cocaine. Now he's on life support as he can't breathe on his own. Hopefully he can fully recover.

Lamar seems to be doing much better now. Good for him, hope he recovers and is able to get back on his feet.

Failing your kids is essentially a failure of yourself IMO.

I said earlier that I was never impressed with Lamar as a basketball player, but he was pretty damn good. I just didn't see enough of his skills. They may be because he played with Kobe and other great players. He was a team player, with moments of brilliance as shown here.

Yes, but he's got to make it work. He's got a million people pulling for him, for sure. Addiction waits, has no sense of time and knows no boundaries.

lamar odom has always been called a role player, a scrub, a back up or what not, dude was VERY good. a potential star but he never really played up to it. he was also in line behind the Kobes of the world so his talent really got over looked. his head was rarely in the game, losing a baby/child, marrying a K woman, divorcing a K woman, all these things were killing him inside his mind i think.
