Unless he gets non-seriously injured during the 2nd half and gets a few weeks' rest, I think his tank will be empty by the time the playoffs start. But I'll cheer for him since I do respect him and was in awe of him when he was in his prime.

Here's a good article on the trade:
On the NBA: Shaq is one of pawns in life of Riley
The Heat really pulled one and the Suns fell for it.

HA! That's hilarious!
Anyway, I still think it's a good move. They never got past the Spurs before, so why would this year be any different? Are they waiting for Duncan to get old and useless? That's not happening this year. Their only hope would have been for the Spurs to trade some of their key players, and that's not happening either. I give them credit for trying something new.

The Heat made a huge move to get them back on track...we'll get to see Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion playing together at least for a couple years.

Looks like Steve Kerr is going to give Isaiah Thomas a run for his money as a GM. Here I was thinking the only way the Heat could unload a huge contract for an old, fading player would be to trade with the Knicks. Then here come the Suns, and not only do they take O'Neal off the Heat's hands, but give them Shawn Marion for the privilege of doing it!

This trade makes no sense. The suns are a fast-tempo team and Shaq will drag them down. The heat dont get any salary cap relief (marion and banks $21 mill, Shaq $20 mill). Bad idea on both sides

Even with this ridiculous trade, Kerr has a lot of work to do before he reaches the level of incompetence that Isiah Thomas has acheived, not as a GM, not as a coach.
Isiah is probably the only man in American pro sports to be the both worst executive and the worst head coach of his league. He should be selling insurance.

Shaq will be on the bench during the playoffs writing Kazaam 2 while the Suns are knocked off in the first round. Shaq is washed-up maybe he should be on a new reality show called Shaq Griffith (Andy Griffith) he is a Sheriff with a cowboy hat trying to throw the bad guys in a trash can which will improve his free throws next year.

But what good has come from their being a fast-tempo team? They're the most fun team to watch, and have been for a few years, but it never helps in the playoffs.
