Shawn must feel sick to his stomach, traded for a old, tired, injury prone center, plus he's going to a horrible team no where near the playoffs!!

I thought Shaquille O'Neal was done - but apparently interest in him still exists! I can't believe Phoenix made this trade. I guess they think he's got 1/2 a season left in the tank.

I'm thinking that this should help the Miami Heat for sure.

Honestly though, prior to this rumor, I think it was during some stupid SB commercial where this 350 lbs lug wins a horse race on a pigmy pony, I was thinking how Shaq has dropped so far into obscurity.

Now the Suns have been that team just leading the league in scoring and wins just to drop out in the first or second round or to have the opportunity to be the Spurs next victim. They still have so much talent, they could probably afford this trade, I guess. What are they gonna do with Shaq? Put him out on the court? Yeah, maybe he DOES have 1/2 a season left in him. How much does he weigh now? He must be up there with Sir Charles Barkley now!

I think this is a smart move by the Suns. I mean, why not? They never make it past San Antonio anyway, and they still have Amare Stoudemire, who is a similar player to Marion. They don't need more guys who can run the floor all day long. They need a presence in the center. I don't think Shaq is done at all. He's still a force and I expect him to have a monster playoff year.

So you think his career low #s are due to lack of motivation of being on a losing team?

I agree, this is probably not a good move. They need someone who can keep up with their run-and-gun style of play and Shaq is not that type of player.

If Shaq comes back half way healthy, he won't need to run, all he will do is clean up on the def boards, change shots in the middle, give it to nash and let them run, and in their half court offense he will dominate, plus he's a great passer out of the post, Phoenix will benefit.

Yes, I do. I'm not suggesting he's going to go the rest of the season averaging 30 points, but he will be awesome once the playoffs come around. They will win the West now - mark my words!!!
