with the season about 2/3 over, im curious who your award predictions are.
MVP- curry
DPOY- leonard
COTY- popovich
ROTY- towns
Most Improved.... nobody really stands out to me.
so im sure ill catch hell for picking POP to win COTY. the only other coach "worthy" would have to be kerr but IMO he missed to much of the season, and his team has had zero change with kerr or walton on the bench.
MAYBE casey up in toronto?

Actually, I think DPOY is going to be Hassan Whiteside.
There's a good possibility. Just depends on the judges. I'd coin flip him or Leonard. IMO Leonard is a better all around defender, but whiteside is going nuts on blocks. Plus a solid rebounder over 11 per game.

Plus everyone loves a great comeback story and Leonard already has a busload of hardware.
If it's strictly a "best defensive player" thing then it's arguable. With his injuries and working through the D-league to get where he is though....he should win easily.
As we've both noted with Duncan never winning DPOY...they often like to give it to the lunch-pail guys....not the guys that are MVP candidates and all-star fixtures.
P.S. Hats off to Miami for this sort of find. This is a G-dang poster child for why some franchises seem to always do better and others like the Kings have the 2nd longest playoff drought in the NBA. The good teams turn non-blue chippers like Leonard, Whiteside etc. into their full potential. The bad teams just draft them and they often just fade out of the league.
Pretty much all awards this year are locked.
I'm more interested to know who will be the runner-up for MVP.
Lebron will be runner up IMO but Curry will have pretty much every first place ballot except for a writer or two out of Cleveland etc.
