LeBron at 31 is in panic mode like he's done for Lol.
Kobe & Jordan at 31 was still the best & winning multiple titles.LeBron is showing his true colors that his mentality is weak & needs an All star team to win.
Never in history has any top 10 player kept trying to create super teams to win.SMH
Name a championship Kobe won without a HOF center playing next to him in their prime?
Same goes for Jordan whom had Pippen plus other all-stars depending on the season.
Lebron is just getting the same hate from Kobe fans that Kobe got from Jordan fans that Jordan got from Bird fans.
just a clarification, kobe won his LAST championship at 31, he wasnt winning multiple anything at 31+.
at 31, lebron will 90% be in the finals where he will run into the buzz saw warriors or the undead spurs.
since turning 31, kobes lakers lost in the semis, lost in the semis, lost in the 1st round, dnq, dnq, dnq.
lebron on the other hand has been in the finals every year so far since kobe turned 31, and will likely get there again this year.
and saying lebron is a failure for not winning more rings, dispite him running into the spurs, or ran into the warriors, or what not is as ridiculous as saying malone and stockton are failures because they ran into the bulls. its just a silly argument.
LeBron, while a great player mirrors a lot of society at large looking for validation through social media. It makes him seem like a mental midget. He just needs to change his tampon.
Kobe was born in August so he was like 30yrs/10months and 31yrs/10months when they went back to back. Lebron will be about 6 months older than Kobe (2010) going into the 2017 Finals.
The Raptors have 50 wins so Lebron may get to 8 this year...9 if they beat GSW. He'll never come close to MJ or Kobe because he's getting older and plays in the east.

This always bugs me in both directions.
The east has been weak for years due to a variety of factors.
I don't think it's fair to give Lebron credit for making it to the finals so much nor ding him for losing in the finals. If the east were tougher, he'd just be losing some years in the ECF or 2nd round and that would go completely unmentioned.

IMO the whole "beating 50 win teams" is one of the silliest arguments out there anyway. a 50 win team is a big deal but a 49 win team isnt? its nothing but another metric to try to make players like kobe look more impressive.

i can agree with that. dont reward him for making it in a weak conf but dont knock him for losing to power houses either.

I dont totally disagree, but Lebron was the chosen one, anointed by all including himself. So people are going to judge him harshly. He has not done as much as he should have. If he doesnt win another he will go down as a slight disappointment.

Here's the thing to keep in mind - the Lakers didn't just beat any 50 win teams...they beat western conference 50 win teams. From top to bottom, the east just isn't as deep and extremely top heavy. For example, are the 50 win Raptors more dangerous than say the Clippers, Thunder or Grizzlies? I say definitely not. Kobe beat 24 50 win teams that were all pretty legit - you can't simply dismiss that as a silly argument when Lebron is going through teams like the Bobcats, Nets and Bucks.
